Just A Thought: Say I WANT! -not 'i wish'
I was writing a super long blog earlier but it was gone! Anyway.... This is somewhat a very personal blog. :) For the past few weeks, I've been thinking, planning, and deciding what to do in my life. I just turned 25 last Valentines Day and this quarter life crisis is hitting me -big time!
I WANT to teach.
I'm currently working in a BPO company and I felt like I was wasting my time. No growth. Not company's fault, not the field's fault, but mine. I never wanted a higher position. Simply because I don't have any plans of staying in that field. I am an Education Graduate. I should be teaching. Mind set.
But where am I? What am I now?
Aside from thinking, planning, and deciding what to do in my life - I also spent the last few weeks hating my present. This is not what I had planned. When I was about to graduate in college, I told myself that I'll be continuing my studies. I want to have a "Dr." prior to my name. But here I am, answering calls from foreigners, fix their cable problems, set-up an appointment for the technician to check it, holding to my inner peace whenever there are irate customers, and learn the art of pressing the mute button whenever I wanted to curse back.
Then my alter ego reminded me to STOP HATING MY PRESENT.
So here I am preparing for my Masters. I'm planning to take it in UP Diliman for 3 reasons:
- Because it is UP Diliman.
- They offer the major that I want.
- One of my frustrations in life is to study in a university.
I WANT to be a dedicated blogger.
I surely want to keep this blog. To have an online record of my whereabouts and to inform people about everything and anything.
I WANT to be a pole dancer.
No kidding! I want to learn how to pole dance! Hahaha... I wanna get fit! Never ko pa naranasang maging magaan! haha
I WANT to travel.
No, I haven't been to Paris. This is just a photoshoped picture of me made by my little sister as a birthday gift. :)
That's it! These are my dreams. ;)
Let's get it on!

Just A Thought: Note to Self in Making Decisions
1. Don't wait for the RIGHT TIME. It will never come.
2. Don't be afraid to make a WRONG DECISION. You know you can always make it right on the second time.
3. You'll be FINE. Believe that everything else will follow.
4. Trust God.

Excerpt: Mother Teresa Quotes
"A life not lived for others is not a life."
"Each one of them is Jesus in disguise."
"God doesn't require us to succeed; He only requires that you try."
"I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples."
"I am not sure exactly what heaven will be like, but I know that when we die and it comes time for God to judge us, he will not ask, 'How many good things have you done in your life?' rather he will ask, 'How much love did you put into what you did?'"
"I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things."
"I know God won't give me anything I can't handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much."
"If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.
"If we pray, we will believe; If we believe, we will love; If we love, we will serve."
"If you are humble nothing will touch you, neither praise nor disgrace, because you know what you are."
"If you judge people, you have no time to love them."
"I'm a little pencil in the hand of a writing God, who is sending a love letter to the world."
"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless."
"Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
"Life is beauty, admire it. Life is a dream, realize it. Life is a challenge, meet it. Life is a duty, complete it. Life is a game, play it. Life is a promise, fulfill it. Life is sorrow, overcome it. Life is a song, sing it. Life is a struggle, accept it. Life is a tragedy, confront it. Life is an adventure, dare it. Life is luck, make it. Life is too precious, do not destroy it. Life is life, fight for it."

"When you don't have anything, then you have everything."
"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."
"Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat."
"Do not think that love in order to be genuine has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired. Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies."
"I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love."
"If you can't feed a hundred people, then just feed one."
"It is a kingly act to assist the fallen."
"Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls. A joyful heart is the inevitable result of a heart burning with love."
"Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile."
"Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand."
"One of the greatest diseases is to be nobody to anybody."
"We cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love."

Just A Thought: Self Punishment ;)
This will be my 4th day of not having a Facebook account. I decided to deactivate it as a self punishment. Sounds mababaw but it's actually not and this kaartehan is just in time for Lent.
On a serious note, it's totally refreshing not to have a facebook account. Try it. :)
Excerpt: Charlie
I don't know if you've ever felt like that.
That you wanted to sleep for a thousand years.
Or just not exist.
Or just not be aware that you do exist.
Or something like that.

Just A Thought: An Open Letter To God
Dear Boss,
I know prayers should be personal.
A talk between You and me. But I just wanted to let others know how grateful I am to You. I feel so relieved because You and me makes a good team. You're the leader and I am your follower. I may not be a good follower as others but you never left me. And I want you to know that I feel so grateful for it.
Thank you for being such a good provider.
I know I'm not that good to others or even to myself but You never failed me. I know I'm not that generous and I'm a self-centered kid but Your heart is too big and I am certain that Your love for me is overflowing.
...till my next letter. :)

Wanderlust: 15hrs in Baguio
January 2013- approximately a month before my birthday, I asked my good friend to clear out her schedule on February and make sure that she'll join me on my annual wandering. We had several options: (a) Borawan (b) Naga (c) Ilocos (d) Albay (e)Baguio. But my main plan is to do it in just one day. Uwian kung baga. And so to make the long twitter / facebook conversations short, we chose Baguio and stick to the plan of uwian.
Travel Plan: February 15 - 10pm - go to Baguio | February 16 - 10pm - go back to Manila.
February 14 - my birthday, while having a small gathering at home with my relatives, Ma-Ann called and saying na pumasok ng maaga ang sweldo nila so might as well, go to Baguio na that night. I said yes and by 9pm, I left Laguna and met my friend somewhere in Makati.
Almost 12 midnight, we arrived at Victory Liner Bus Station in Cubao and unfortunately, there were no more tickets for 1am and 2am trips. Ticket price is only 450Php. We got tickets for the 3am trip and we stayed / ate / and charged our phones at Andok's. :) Charm is working! haha

25th YEAR
Nothing is more practical than
finding God, that is, than falling in love
in a quite absolute, final way.
What you are in love with,
what seizes your imagination,
will affect everything.
It will decide
what will get you out of bed in the morning,
what you will do with your evenings,
how you will spend your weekends,
what you read, who you know,
what breaks your heart,
and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.
Fall in love, stay in love,
and it will decide everything.
Fr. Pedro Arrupe, S.J.
Just A Thought: Losing Hope due to the Resignation of Pope?
I DID. Because I was thinking about Pope John Paul II. He didn't resign though he was really sick. But my mom is right. He's still human. Pope is not a saint.
pope
/pōp/

The pope’s jobs
The pope has two big jobs:
- He’s the bishop of Rome, which means he has supreme, full, immediate, and universal jurisdiction all over the world (although the title says “Rome,” the job encompasses the whole Church).
- He’s the head of the entire Catholic Church. As head of the Church, the pope directs the faithful around the world both directly and through mandates to the bishops who oversee the administrative territories known as dioceses. He also elevates bishops to the rank of cardinal as he sees fit.(http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/the-catholic-pope-his-job-and-how-hes-elected.html)JUST REMEMBER:When all else fails, try FAITH!
Just A Thought: Considered or Forgotten?
~ makes perfect sense ~
I started the year 2013 with a promise. I promise to LIVE SIMPLE, BE HAPPY and SPEND TIME WITH PEOPLE YOU LOVE because life is too short to deal with people you don't even like. As we all know, friends do come and go - simply a fact. But when you come into a deeper consideration about this, it all depends on you. You'll be the one to decide who to consider or who to forgot.

Just A Thought: The Death of Lolong
This saddened me early in the morning.
According to Wikipedia, Crocodylus Porosus a.k.a. Saltwater Crocodile can live for more than 65 years and some may exceed 100 years. Lolong is estimated to be atleast 50 years old when he was caught in a Bunawan Creek in Agusan del Sur on September 3, 2011.
Lolong was suspected of eating a farmer who went missing in the town of Bunawan, and also of consuming a 12-year-old girl whose head was discovered two years earlier. He was also the primary suspect in the disappearance of water buffaloes in the area. In the examination of the stomach contents after his capture, remnants of water buffaloes reported missing before Lolong's capture were found, but no human remains. Experts say the vast Agusan Marsh's tourism potential needs intensive study to avoid fatal human-crocodile encounters. The capture of Lolong is a good advantage in protecting him for survival, against danger he posed to the humans, an attraction and income for the locality, and an opportunity for scientific study. (copied in Wikipedia)
If Philippine Star report is true, that Lolong swallowed a nylon chord three weeks ago (which triggered chronic diarrhea) then that would be a terrible cause of death and a proof of irresponsible way of taking care of this croc in Bunawan Eco-Park and Research Center.

Excerpt: Pilipinas, Tara na!
Pilipinas, Tara Na! v.1
Words by: Rene Nieva
Composed by: Mike Villegas and Rico Blanco
Arranged by: Angelo Villegas
Ikaw ba'y nalulungkot
Naiinip, nababagot
Ikaw ba'y napapagod
Araw gabi'y puro kayod?
Buhay mo ba'y walang saysay
Walang sigla, walang kulay?
Bawa't araw ba'y pareho
Parang walang pagbabago?
Tara na, biyahe tayo
Kasama ang pamilya
Barkada at buong grupo
Para mag-enjoy ng todo.
Halika, biyahe tayo
Nang ating makita
Ang ganda ng Pilipinas
Ang galing ng Pilipino.
Nag-driving ka na ba
Sa mga bayan sa baybay
Ng buong Laguna de Bay
Tuloy-tuloy sa Tagaytay?
Nalasap mo na ba
Ang Lanzones ng Camiguin
Penoy balot ng Pateros
Ensaymada ng Malolos?
Tara na, biyahe tayo
Upang ating matanto
Tayo man ay iba-iba
Diwa't puso ay iisa
Halika, biyahe tayo
Nang ating makita
Ang ganda ng Pilipinas
Ang galing ng Pilipino.
RAP:
Mga kababayan, ating puntahan,
Dambana ng kadakilaan at kagitingan
Fort Santiago, Kawit, Mactan
Barasoain, Corregidor at Bataan.
Nag-shopping ka na ba
Sa malls ng Metro Manila
Naka-bargain sa Baclaran
Greenhills at Divisoria?
Nakapag-uwi ka na ba
Ng perlas mula Sulu
World-class shoes from Marikina
Abaca bags from Bicolandia?
Tara na, biyahe tayo
Nang makabili
Ng maganda at murang-mura
Gawa ng kapwa-Pilipino.
Halika, biyahe tayo
Nang ating makita
Ang ganda ng Pilipinas
Ang galing ng Pilipino.
Nakisaya ka na ba
Sa Pahiyas at Masskara
Moriones at Ati-atihan
Sinulog at Kadayawan?
Namiesta ka na ba
Sa Penafrancia sa Naga
Umakyat sa Antipolo
Nagsayaw sa Obando?
Tara na, biyahe tayo
Upang ating matamo
Ligaya at pagkakaibigan
Kaunlaran, kapayapaan.
Halika, biyahe tayo
Nang ating makita
Ang ganda ng Pilipinas
Ang galing ng Pilipino.
Tara na, biyahe tayo
Upang ating matamo
Ligaya at pagkakaibigan
Kaunlaran, kapayapaan.
Halika, biyahe tayo
Nang ating makita
Ang ganda ng Pilipinas
Ang galing ng Pilipino.

Excerpt: Six Degrees Of Separation
First, you think the worst is a broken heart
What's gonna kill you is the second part
And the third, Is when your world splits down the middle
And fourth, you're gonna think that you fixed yourself
Fifth, you see them out with someone else
And the sixth, is when you admit that you may have fucked up a little.
