Finally, ILOCOS!!!

Few months back, I came across this Facebook page of  Extreme Outdoor Club -a travel and tour group that offers Ilocos Getaway for only Php3,000. It was my first time joining a group of strangers and I knew it would be fun!

INCLUSIONS:

• Private Van (Nissan Urvan 14 seater or Toyata Hi ace Commuter) - we were 17 including the driver and the guide. no biggie. I expected that. Though I was really hoping it would only be 3pax per row since Ilocos is really far.
• Vigan, Laoag, Pagudpud Tour - yes, your 3,000 pesos is soo sulit! 
• 2 nights room 4/6pax sharing accommodation in a beach resort - the room is actually good for two persons only. It has one bed and one extra mattress. I asked the guide, Kuya Mike if we can transfer to another room. He called Edzhel Herrera - the owner or maybe the founder of EOC. He agreed. We settled our things, freshened up, charged our gadgets, et al. and then suddenly, the air-conditioner stopped functioning. We transferred to another room which is actually bigger and good for 4-6persons. Lucky? Kind of. I guessed. Morning after, Kuya Mike was asking us to pay additional Php500 each because we requested a separated room. Of course, we firmly disagreed. They should have informed us about that fee before allowing us to get a new room.
• Entrance in Kabigan Falls, Kapurpuruwan Rock Formation, Entrance in Blue Lagoon
• Bagtag ID - no. we didn't receive any bagtag ids

My viewpoint:

EOC was on time! We left Manila at exactly 10 in the evening of Thursday.

Hope they would post a tarpaulin outside the van so we would know na yun na pala yung inaantay namin. 

Group tour is a lot cheaper than travelling alone.

Be open minded but know your rights.

Pack Light.

Always be on time.

Patience!

***To our driver, Mang Pedro -kahit inakala mong mga tilapia kaming mga sakay mo sa sobrang bilis mong mag-maneho, thank you pa din. Salamat for allowing us na makisabay hanggang Sucat though ang usapan is until Balintawak lang. hehe! To Pham Manayan and the family from Mindoro that became our instant friends, Thank you sa masayang kwentuhan, tsismisan, takutan at food trip. Haha! And to that woman (in her 40s maybe)- who blurted out "Hay nko! Nababadtrip nko ha!" after I said "Jan ho ata kami." calm down, momma. You could not choose your preferred sit inside the van. The organizers already prepared the sitting arrangement. Not our fault, madame. So please, wag ako. Charaught!

All in all, I will still recommend EOC. They offer tours in a reasonable price. There may be some issues on the road but it's amenable.

Wanderlust: Bewilderment at Mt. Pulag

I've been wanting to visit and witness the famous sea of clouds at Mt. Pulag. I planned it several times for the past few years with my friends but it didn't push through. This year, 2014, I took no more excuses. Thank God, I met someone who shares the same passion with me.

Unfortunately, we didn't see the sea of clouds. But I am still thankful for the experience!

Just A Thought: Friendzoned

I was bored last night so I checked my old tweets. That was conceited, I know! Hahaha. But anyways, this is a story of a girl that fell in love with his boy bud. Srsly. Give me some new stories please! lol

Tas kinuhanan ng picture at tinweet.

Yung sbhin sayong "ayoko silang kasama pag wala ka." -pag nagyayakag yung barkada na lumabas tas hindi ka pwede... 

Yung sbhin sa friend mong "Para kasing hindi ako kumpleto pag wala si Jindra." 

Tas yung pinapakiusapan yung barkada nyang baguhin ang plano makasama ka lang s lakad..

Yung tanungin ka kung anung gusto mong chocolate at sya na lang magbbgay. 

Yung tatawag sa bahay at puro hello lang ang ssbhin. 

Yung tatawag sa tas ipaparinig lang sayo na natutunan na pla nyang gitarahin yung bago mong paboritong kanta na sb nya nung una, pangit daw pero hayan at ginigitara para sayo. 

Ngaun, masisisi nyo bko kung ganto nrrmdaman ko? Haha

Lahat ng yan ay tinatawag na pag-aassume! Hahahahahahaha WTF KMN SMH FML - lahat na!

Just A Thought: Best [space] Friends

I am one of those people who give no credence to the word "bestfriends".

It's so mainstream and overrated.

But I would like to commend these two friends that I have for more than 13 years now.

They are my best [space] friends.

They're like siblings-from-another-set-of-parents.

They are the one who doesn't ask why.

And they never oblige me to explain.

They knew it right away.

They truthfully understand and they always lift my spirit.

Wanderlust: 15hrs in Baguio

January 2013- approximately a month before my birthday, I asked my good friend to clear out her schedule on February and make sure that she'll join me on my annual wandering. We had several options: (a) Borawan (b) Naga (c) Ilocos (d) Albay (e)Baguio. But my main plan is to do it in just one day. Uwian kung baga. And so to make the long twitter / facebook conversations short, we chose Baguio and stick to the plan of uwian.

Travel Plan: February 15 - 10pm - go to Baguio | February 16 - 10pm - go back to Manila.

February 14 - my birthday, while having a small gathering at home with my relatives, Ma-Ann called and saying na pumasok ng maaga ang sweldo nila so might as well, go to Baguio na that night. I said yes and by 9pm, I left Laguna and met my friend somewhere in Makati.

Almost 12 midnight, we arrived at Victory Liner Bus Station in Cubao and unfortunately, there were no more tickets for 1am and 2am trips. Ticket price is only 450Php. We got tickets for the 3am trip and we stayed / ate / and charged our phones at Andok's. :) Charm is working! haha

Just A Thought: Considered or Forgotten?

I started the year 2013 with a promise. I promise to LIVE SIMPLE, BE HAPPY and SPEND TIME WITH PEOPLE YOU LOVE because life is too short to deal with people you don't even like. As we all know, friends do come and go - simply a fact. But when you come into a deeper consideration about this, it all depends on you. You'll be the one to decide who to consider or who to forgot.
